AC Milan appoint Pioli as new manager

AC Milan have appointed Stefano Pioli as the club’s new manager on a two-year deal.

Pioli was appointed to replace Marco Giampaolo who was sacked on Tuesday.

Giampaolo was sacked for winning just three of his first seven matches in charge of the San Siro outfit.

AC Milan are 13th on the Serie A table after their victory over Genoa on Saturday.

Pioli is an Italian football manager and a former footballer who played as a defender.

He has managed Lazio, Inter Milan, Parma, Bologna, Florentina etc in the past.
