After a massive loss to Paris St-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday, Real Madrid were not fazed as they pulled a win against Sevilla to end second spot on the table.

Early chance in the first half saw Vaclik denying both Hazard and Dani Carvajal at close-range, while Sevilla failed to land any of their nine shots on target.

Benzema, at 64 minutes, met Carvajal’s cross with a powerful header to score his fifth goal of the campaign.

The hosts unlucky saw Javier Hernandez goal ruled out for offside.

Sevilla, managed by former Real manager Julen Lopetegui was sacked after four-and-a-half months in charge in October.

The Sevilla experienced their first lost since beginning of the season to fall 5th place on the table.
