President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday presided over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting is the first FEC meeting after Buhari inaugurated new ministers for his second term.
Buhari, who spoke briefly before the meeting went into closed doors, urged the ministers not to fail Nigerians as they give their selfless service to the nation.
The ministers have been familiarising themselves with the operations of their new offices after the inauguration ceremony three weeks ago, on August 21.
Also present at the meeting were the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Head of Service, Winifred Oyo-Ita and National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno.
The meeting which commenced 11am is holding same day the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal is to announce its verdict on the result of the 2019 presidential election.
Recall that Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had petitioned the tribunal in March challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the February 23 elections.
