A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday disqualified the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo in the November 16 election in Bayelsa State.
Justice Inyang Ekwo ruled that Degi-Eremienyo gave false information in his CF0001 form submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commissioner (INEC).
The judge stated that there is no connection in the name on his school-leaving certificate, first degree (BA), Master’s and the affidavits he swore, adding that all the documents Degi-Eremienyo tendered bore different names.
Ekwo disqualified the APC deputy governorship candidate for providing INEC with false information.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) filled the suit seeking the disqualification of Degi-Eremienyo.
