The Federal Court High Court in Abuja has ordered the convener of Revolution Now protest, Omoyele Sowore to be remanded in the custody of the Department of State Security Service, pending hearing of his bail application.
Sowore alongside his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare, will be remanded in the custody of the Department of State Security Service till Friday when the hearing for their bail application will hold.
The defendants (Sowore and Bakare) were arraigned on seven counts of treasonable felony and other sundry offences instituted against them by the Federal Government.
Justice Ifeoma Ojukwu denied Sowore bail stating that the bail earlier granted him was not based on the charges on which he was arraigned on Monday.
She said a fresh bail had to be granted to him and it can only be done by formally writing for formal bail application and not oral.
Justice Ojukwu ordered them to file formal bail application and adjourned hearing till Friday, October 4.
