EFFC breaks into Ambode’s residence

The Economic Financial Crimes Commission gained access into the residence of the former governor of Lagos, Abode Akinwunmi on Tuesday, ransacking the building as part of a corrupt investigation process.

The EFFC spokesperson, Tony Orilade, as cited by PREMIUM TIMES, stated that Mr Ambode is under a corruption probe, months after leaving office.

The anti graft institution left no stone unturned as the house of the governor’s former chief of staff was also ransacked 9:35am at the same Epe hometown.

PREMIUM TIMES reports that Billions of naira alleged to be misappropriated by Mr Ambode in office has sprang up the officials of the anti graft institution in to finding evidence to corroborate the allegation.

The report added that, two weeks ago, multiple bank accounts holding billions linked to Mr Ambode were frozen as part of investigation.
