The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has lifted the curfew placed on Ilorin metropolis following the hijacked of the peaceful #EndSARS protest by Hoodlums which turned into violence in the state.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, who said the lifting of the curfew is effective from today, November 12.
According to the statement the increased joint patrols by security agencies within the metropolis and across the state will strengthen the gains of the past weeks and keep criminal elements at bay.
Governor AbdulRazaq urged the residents to go about their lawful business without any fear.
The Governor however commended the residents, and security agencies, for their support on the measures taken to strengthen security.
