Oil mogul and philanthropist, Femi Otedola has taken up the medical expenses of legendary reggae icon, Majek Fashek at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in London.
The sorry state of Majek Fashek who is terribly sick and stranded in the hospital was bought to the notice of Nigerians when his manager, Uzoma Day Omenka, painted a pathetic picture of the dire situation the musician is in.
As he has always done in the past, Otedola took it upon himself to make sure reggae icon receives the best of medical attention.
Confirming Otedola’s magnanimity to LIB, Uzoma Day said, “we really appreciate him for coming through and taking care of the hospital bills. Its a huge relief and we are grateful. We however still need more support from well meaning Nigerians to take care of other expenses”.
Recall that the Nigerian billionaire did same to former captain and coach of the Super Eagles, Christian Chukwu at the Wellington Hospital, London .
He was also responsible for the medical bills of Peter Fregene, a former Green Eagles goalkeeper, who had been bedridden since 2001.
