Granada beat Barcelona to go top of La Liga table

Promoted Granada defeated FC Barcelona 2-0 at home to move top of the La Liga table on Saturday evening.

Granda the lead on the second minute when Ramon Azeez headed home from close range to make it 1-0.

The hosts double their lead when Alvaro Vadillo converted his penalty after VAR confirmed that Arturo Vidal’s handball in the 18 yard box.

Before yesterday’s match, Granda had only beaten Barcalona once in their last 20 meetings.

This is the worst start to a La Liga season in 25 years for the Catalan giants who have 7 points from 5 matches and sits on the 8th position on the table.
