The Massalikul Jinaan Mosque in Dakar, Senegal is said to be West Africa’s largest mosque, and was built at a cost of around $32m.
The mosque which can accommodate 30,000 worshipers, took seven years to build.
The Senegal’s influential Mouride Brotherhood built the mosque which was inaugurated on Friday, September 27 without any external donation.
Massalikul Jinaan means “Paths to Paradise” and 800 people worked on it before completion.
