The Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello on Monday dissolve the state executive council and instructed them to handover the affairs of their ministries to their permanent secretaries.

The Governor also directed all political appointees to handover to the most senior civil servant in their departments or agencies.

In a statement, Mallam Jibrin Ndache, the chief press secretary of governor Bello, said the decision was reached after a meeting session of the council. He stated the all efforts of the councils and special advisers were appreciated by the state governor and instructed that they should handover before 12 mid-night.

“I want to appreciate your commitment to the service of our dear state. You have all contributed immensely to the social contract we had with our people for four years ago. The modest actualization of the ‘Restoration Agenda’ was a product of our collective efforts.”

“Your valuable contributions are highly appreciated and I make bold to say that you all have done well,” quoted by the Press secretary in the statement.
