Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen netted twice in Lille’s 3-0 victory over Saint Etienne on Wednesday night.
Osimhen who came on as a sub after French international, Loic Remmy got injured, scored the first goal in the 37 minutes.
His teammate Jonathan Bamba doubled the lead from the spot in the 69th minutes before Osimhen got his brace five minutes later.
The brace have taken his goal tally to four goals in his first three French top-flight appearances.
The 20-year old forward was bought from Wolfsburg this season to replace Nicolas Pepe who joined Arsenal for 72m pounds.
The victory has taken Lille to six points after their second straight home win, level with five clubs including champions Paris Saint-Germain.
