The newly appointed Tottenham manager, Jose Mourinho has been pictured strolling around the Chelsea area of London where he lives, donning a complete Spurs kit.
Mourinho, who stated four years ago when he was Chelsea manager that he would never accept Tottenham’s manager job offer joined the North London side on Wednesday morning to replace the sacked Mauricio Pochettino.
Four years ago, Mourinho said: ‘I would not take the job because I love Chelsea supporters too much.’
Addressing his statement of four years ago during his first press conference as a Tottenham manager, Mourinho said he accepted the Spurs job because Chelsea sacked him.
“Four years ago when you were at Chelsea you were asked whether you would come to Spurs and you said: ‘Never, I love the Chelsea fans too much’. What’s changed?” he was asked.
Mourinho replied: “[That was] before I was sacked!”
