Rohr invites Azeez, drops Iheanacho, Balogun for Brazil friendly

Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has invited 23 players for the October 13 friendly encounter against Brazil at the Singapore National Stadium.

The list has Granada’s midfielder, Ramon Azeez who last featured for the Super Eagles against France at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The 26-year-old scored the opener against Barcelona in the 2-0 victory. He has two goals to his credit for Granada this season.

The only new name on the list is Slavia Prague’s forward, Peter Olayinka.

The 23-year old scored Slavia Prague’s only goal in the 1-1 draw against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League.

Rohr dropped Kelechi Iheanacho, Leon Balogun, Bryan Idowu and Josh Maja as well as Ahmed Musa who is still recuperating from injury.
