Two policemen were injured by members of Islamic sect, Shiites, during an outbreak of their protest in the National Assembly.
The men have been referred to the National Hospital for immediate medical attention from the National Assembly Clinic.
According to The Nation, one of them, soaked in blood, was badly beaten by the rampaging Shi’ite members, and the other was shot on his thigh.
The police was heard saying that the gun used was an AK47 and not a locally made one.
The security personnel were able to control the chaos as some of the violent protest have been arrested.
