The newly inaugurated governor of Nasarawa state, Engr. Abdullahi Sule on Wednesday assured the people of the state of an all inclusive governance.
During his inaugural speech, the governor stated that his administration would give priority to human development that will focus on agriculture, education, security, youth and women empowerment.
“The major part of our agenda is to encourage commercial agriculture in our areas of comparative advantage.” he said.
Engr. Abdullahi Sule appreciate his immediate predecessor Umaru Tanko Almakura, and extol him for the wonderful legacy he has built in the state.
“He has indeed left behind a credible template for future development of the state. we therefore appreciate his excellency for his unflinching support and abiding fate in the democratic journey leading to this healthy event.”
“He took time to lead me through various project on the ground and avail me practical information on them. This is unique attribute of which am forever appreciated to him”
Engr. Sule added that he would partner security agents to battle the issues of insecurity in the state. He also highlighted that in his first 100 days of office he would embark on massive projects.
“We will by the grace of God complete an excellent project that the architect of modern Nasarawa state as started that is going to be the Lafia airport in our first 100 days.” he said
“We would review the payment of pension and gratuity in the first 100 days. We would commence the payment of salary arrears after a careful review”
Engr. Sule is the fourth democratically elected governor, after 20 years of civillian rule in the state.
Governor Abdullahi Sule and his deputy Emmanuel Akabi are expected to finish their four years in office as expected in the Nigeria constitution except otherwise. The inauguration of the new government of Nasarawa state saw a mammoth crowd including parents of the governor and his deputy, dignitaries, family, sons, daughter and friends of the state.
