A Kenyan professor who is also a human rights crusader has chronicle the seventh Japan – Africa summit in Yokohama as a “Shame”.

The board chair of the Kenyan Human Rights Commission, KHRC, prof. Makau Mutua, in a tweet on Friday said that African leaders needed to stop attending ‘begging meetings’ and focus on making the continent alluring for investment.

His tweet reads:

TICAD is an event co-hosted by the Japanese government and the African Union along with other development partners like the United Nations and the World Bank.
