Tottenham sit 12th position with draw to Sheffield Utd

Pochettino’s team failed the chance to climb up to table as they draw to Sheffield United at home.

Tottenham have not replicate the rhythm in which they played last season and in the Champions League. Attempt at goal was three to nothing in favor of the Sheffield side within almost 30 minutes of play in the first half.

Sheffield united almost found the net but denied by the goal post as the first half ended in draw while Spurs only nice attempt was denied also by the united keeper.

In the second half, Spur were gifted a goal as Steven’s error found Heung-Min Son who quickly placed the ball past in between the keeper’s leg.

No long United settle the score with goal from McGoldrick which was denied by VAR as offside.

With 12 minute to go, Sheffield level with a goal from Baldock who was the man of the match.

Tottenham. with the draw sits 12th position failing to capitalize on their advantage to climb up the table.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder have this to say about his team and the match:

“I’m proud of the players, the performance, and I thought we took the game to the opposition from the off.

“We feel we have identity. We’ve restricted world-class players to very few opportunities. I believe we were the better side today.”

while Pochettino expressed his feelings differently: “It was an even game, difficult for us – they are a very good, organised team. It was difficult to play in the first half. We were better in the second half, but overall it’s a fair result.

“We knew very well how they play, they got a draw at Chelsea and they are playing so well. The most difficult thing for us was to match their energy.”
