Hoodlums on Tuesday evening razed down the MTN office in Bodija, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital in spite of several appeals from the Federal government against reprisal attack on South African businesses in Nigeria,

MTN is the largest mobile network provider owned by South Africans in Nigeria.

PREMIUM TIMES reports that the building was set ablaze around 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Nigeria police has taken steps to secure South African businesses across Nigeria in response to multiple attacks targeting it.

Other South African businesses that have been targeted are Shoprite and clothes retailer PEP.

President Buhari and South African leader Cyril Ramaphosa, have advised their countrymen to remain calm as a lasting solution is being explored to the wave of xenophobic attacks meted on foreign nationals, including Nigerians, by South Africans.
